As one reviewer put it, Catherine's stories are "brain candy for anyone liking action and character-driven stories."
About Catherine E. McLean
Catherine's background is in journalism, editing, and creative writing. She began with selling nonfiction articles to regional and national publications.
Since 1993, and writing as C. E. McLean, she's sold short stories in science fiction, paranormal, and contemporary (with and without romance elements) to hard-copy and online anthologies and magazines. ADRADA TO ZOOL is an anthology of her published short stories that also includes a new novella.
KARMA AND MAYHEM was her debut paranormal-fantasy-romance novel published by Soul Mate Publishing. The copyright reverted back to her in 2016, and she reissued the book with a new cover and the giveaway promotional recipes for the "bloody" drinks, cookies, etc. There are two ISBN numbers for the story. One is for the paperback. The other is for the stripped down eBook (no recipes, etc.). In the note-stage is a second of the Karma (Bonded Souls Series).
JEWELS OF THE SKY was her second novel, a futuristic/sci-fi adventure (space opera). The premiss is based on what if the aliens said to have visited the Mayan were, themselves Indians who destroyed the Mayans and now are facing their own "end of days" because of that. It is Darq, a direct descendant of the man who destroyed the Mayans who God tests and it's Survival or Extinction. Mercy or a Miracle. One Woman's Choice.
HEARTS AKILTER, a lighthearted romance novella (eBook only) is about dealing with Love, Vengeance, Attempted Murder, and a Bomb . . . no reason to panic. And where a little robot thinks he's having a heart attack.
