Pennwriters helping fellow Pennwriters grow and accomplish their writing goals.
Are you the 1 in 60 who is determined
to produce quality fiction or nonfiction
that will sell?
Are you striving to learn, understand, and practice
all you can about writing well and telling a story well
and employing the devices and techniques
that make a work stand out in today's glutted marketplace
but need guidance and feedback?
IF SO —
We, the SVP-C, have evolved into an eclectic, focused Pennwriters sub-group whose priority is to continually learn and practice story craft and
to uncover the secrets and elite practices that beget outstanding works
to meet industry standards and reader acclaim.
Our emphasis is on quality over quantity.
Our meetings use online technology plus
scheduled in-person meetings, craft-specific mini-workshops,
book reviews, movies, and discussions.
Questions on craft and the industry are answered.
Monthly challenges are strictly volunteer —
these short works not only spur the imagination
but they also generate and showcase
improvements in an individual's writing
and yielded works for submission to contests
and paying markets.
